Abilities
Strengths:
Physical:
Koe’s body durable despite being underweight and weak in strength. The magical property his body holds is somewhat of a defense for him. He is able to withstand attacks of most calibers. Unlike Earth humans, his body is much more resistant to physical attacks. (This by no means implies he has hard skin.) Rather that his bones aren’t as easy to break as one might think unless the person in opposition is stronger than your average human. It’s also notable that his masochistic trait gives him the advantage in enduring any pain that crosses him. Koe isn’t someone you can hurt to your will and physical torture is nullified. Even if he were to be physically harmed in a way that seriously harms him, he would still not confess.
His body is able to regenerate itself. As long as he is still alive, any gaping wound or gash will heal completely; To the point where there isn’t even a scar to tell the story. Granted this mending process is considerably time consuming, it’s still hard to kill him. Koe is incapable of dying by blood loss and poisons. Every human from his world with magical properties possesses these same resistant traits.
While Koe may not be good at throwing a punch, he is good at dodging them. He’s not exceptionally good at avoiding every attack that comes his way, but he is sure to see none of the more serious attacks scathe him.
Like most humans from his planet, Koe doesn’t necessarily need food to survive. His body is able to function and work without it. The magical property in his body makes up for the lost nutrition. Although not eating does leave his kind with less energy as a whole, in the end, it’s not mandatory. He is unable to starve to death in this respect. There is no limit to how long he can go without food too. Unlike food, he does need water.
He may be half blind, but Koe doesn’t need to see to get around for the most part. At least not when it comes to knowing another person is around. Koe is able to read a person’s spiritual energy (and they don’t need to have a lot for him to notice.) This is what somewhat balances his disadvantage in battle (assuming no projectiles are used.) Unless you are able to mask your energy altogether he can pick others up from anywhere. This power does have its limits; however, he can’t tell whether the energy belongs to someone kind or sinister.
Mental/Emotional:
Koe sees the cup half full, an optimist to put it blatantly. Though he comes off crude in nature, so it's not always obvious. This is how he is able to motivate himself to continue doing what all he does. His optimist spreads everywhere from a simple mindless task like a puzzle, to his missions. Growing up in a house with a negative brother, and a narcissistic uncle, someone had to think positively. He acknowledges that he didn’t have the best past, but Zan’nen gave him something to look forward to. Something worth protecting and for that he would go to any length to protect him.
He’s intelligent for his age, it’s not easy to fool him or draw him off track. Koe is very observant and aware. Learning quickly is one of his specialties, it usually only takes him a few tries (or one) to get it down. Koe is more likely to orchestrate a trap than fall into one. Given the opportunity, Koe will learn about his opponent first before he considers fighting them. Seeing as he generally avoids battle to begin with.
After experiencing as much as he did in his travels, he has grown more stubborn about things. Koe doesn’t get pushed around very easily, and only under certain circumstances (like interactions with women) will he lose his backbone. Other than that, it’s hard to change him from his intentions once he has his goals set. Koe is very keen about keeping to them and will even give himself mental motivation speeches to keep himself going. His stubbornness also ensures that he won’t give up easily.
His memory is exceptional, when it comes to some things. Sometimes it’s as insignificant like what game he was playing exactly a year ago, or something more important like the pattern to guard shifts. Usually Koe will hide his intelligence by playing dumb. He enjoys acting like he doesn’t understand to give the people the wrong impression about him. The fact that he acts differently than who he really is, is an advantage (and disadvantage) in itself.
